I just read a write-up of the new Ashton Kutcher project “Pop Fiction.”
Whereas normally I hate Kutcher and his over-enthusiastically boyish bullshit, I have to admit that this show has the potential for being quite funny. I can’t wait until some of these celeb-news scams are unveiled so that I can laugh at the Perez Hiltons and TMZs and Chronicles and Daily Newses that launch on celeb-gossip and scandal like vultures launch on a dead raccoon on the side of the road.
I suppose it is way too hopeful that perhaps shedding a light on this ridiculousness will help refocus the media on reporting legitimate news… I am a dreamer, aren’t I?
Because as much as I want to be a journalist, I have to admit I’m disgusted with the media more often than not. It will be good to see someone giving them their comeuppance on a regular basis.
Even if it is the most annoying man in Hollyweird.
