Still at Royal Ground, trying to finish my AP paper edits (it’s due Tuesday,) still being distracted by ye olde Internet.
Just read Violet Blue’s two part examination of Real Dolls on Open Source Sex/Tiny Nibbles… fascinating stuff. A girl I used to work with at the “PR agency which shall remain nameless above the jump cut” (she actually was in the cube next to mine – I just did a Google News search for her, can’t find her piece… Stephanie if you read this and want it linked, send it to me please ) did a big piece on Real Dolls for her college newspaper; and, my friend Ruth just sent me a documentary about the Real Doll.
I – myself – don’t know what to make of the whole Real Doll thing. To each their own, I guess. It’s like the Boyfriend Arm Pillow and The Rabbit: it might be fabulous for what it is, but it will never replace the real thing to me. (And, you know I love my Rabbit Pearl.)
Crazy stuff. Worth reading about. ABSOLUTELY worth cross posting.
